Did I do the right thing

My boyfriend always brings up the break up every time we have an argument. Several times I cried, I begged, asked for another chance but today I had enough. He said he doesn't love me anymore and he doesn't want to be with me anymore so I just agreed to break up. We've been living together for eight months. Is it the right decision to make? Giving up?
